In Sickness And In Health Until Death Do Us Part

A simple love story

He was young and arrogant and intent on marrying an heiress. Long black hair flying behind her, she walked into his life. He thought he was superior to her. She didn't notice as she wasn't the least bit interested in him. Two years later, madly in love, they married. For twenty years, they fought, loved, fought through the night, made-up and loved. They produced two wonderful children. He went on to be successful. He kept his pain subdued with scotch. She threw out the bottles. He found new ones. They almost split, but he went to AA. And, so their marriage went.

Then she became ill and almost died. Her illness returned and she would eventually die. He realized he was losing her and resolved to do one thing well. He resolved to love her to the very end. He did and she returned his love with forgiveness and love. Grace smiled upon them and they found happiness—Storybook happiness as she lay dying. Theirs became a love story worth being written about and told forever.

In sickness and in health, for better and for worse, with lots of hard work, love can open our hearts. May you have the good fortune to be loved and may you have the greatest fortune of all to love deeply and totally.
