Randall E. Poff
Attorney at Law
1618 Southwest First Avenue, Ste. 200
Portland, Oregon 97201-5709 USA

E-mail: pofflawyer@att.net
Mr. Poff has handled all types of family cases for more than 19 years,
with a particular focus on divorce (dissolution of marriage), property
division, children and parenting, support, alimony, modifications, issues
between unmarried partners, paternity and juvenile matters.
"Why pay higher fees for a big, impersonal law firm to cover
its huge overhead and large staff? When you retain me, I will always serve
you personally and as efficiently as possible. Although no lawyer can promise
a particular result or give a "guarantee," I commit to listen and evaluate
your objectives and give you my honest assessment of your circumstances.
I will always provide a reasonable fee estimate, and a written fee agreement,
articulating expectations for both lawyer and client."
"If this is what you are looking for, call me or send a brief e-mail
for more information."
"BE AWARE THAT CONFIDENTIALITY CANNOT BE ASSURED WHEN SENDING E-MAIL
VIA THE INTERNET. IF YOU HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT PRIVACY OR CONFIDENTIALITY,
PLEASE CONTACT ME BY TELEPHONE OR U.S. MAIL."
In my spare time, I am involved in the community. I am proud
to be the Scoutmaster of Troop 100, a "boy-run" scout unit of Cascade
Pacific Council. I am also active in youth
soccer, both coaching and as a referee. The only professional game
in town is the Trailblazers.
I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon
(yes, all the rain keeps things green here!). I am married and have three
sons. I received my B.S. in Economics from Portland
State University and my J.D. from Lewis &
Clark College - Northwestern
School of Law. I was admitted to the Bar in Oregon in 1978 and the
U.S. Supreme Court in 1981.
The one constant in family law
cases is that each family and individual situation is different. Some cases
may require Kramer vs. Kramer or War of the Roses adversarial
techniques, while others may obtain comparable results through negotiation
or mediation.
- My primary goal is to help my clients get through a difficult time in their
lives with the least amount of wasted time, emotional pain and unnecessary
expense.
- I would be happy to consult with you (or your local attorney) about your
particular Oregon legal needs.
- I allow a free one-half hour consultation (by phone or appointment in the
office). Please be concise, but be prepared to report the important details
of your legal situation. I will try my best to provide an estimate of your
legal fees based upon the issues you present.
- Call me directly at (503) 241-3141 or send e-mail to pofflawyer@att.net.
- Important Note: The security and confidentiality of e-mail are still
suspect; if you chose to use e-mail, be aware that many others may have
access to your message. Sensitive legal matters are best discussed by telephone
or "snail mail" (cellular phones and portable phones have similar eavesdropper
potential).
FAQs & ARTICLES:
If you establish a professional
relationship with an attorney, you need to be careful to use a private
method for communication with your attorney. Bulletin Boards and Chat areas
are NOT private. Also, E-Mail may not be a sufficiently private method
for communication with your attorney.
Warning: If your communication
with an attorney is not private, the attorney-client privilege to protect
disclosure of confidential communication is lost.
The information contained on this Web-page is intended
neither as legal advice, nor to create an attorney-client relationship.
The law is very complicated and you should always consult with your own
attorney before taking any significant action. Mr. Poff does provide a
free initial consultation regarding matters in Oregon, and often advises
clients or their attorneys outside Oregon. They can reach him at 503-241-3141.
