Stu Webb has practiced family law exclusively for over twenty-five years. He is well grounded in Minnesota divorce law. Stu has a commitment to work with clients to achieve settlement of divorce issues.Since 1990, Stu has practiced collaborative law exclusively--a type of representation whereby Stu agrees with his client that he will help the client work toward settlement of the divorce issues, without involving adversarial court appearances. Stu's commitment not to go to court means that his aim is the same as his client's--achieving successful dissolution resolution by the parties and their attorneys working cooperatively. Stu's commitment to settlement makes him an ideal attorney to work with a client, whether to coach the client in his/her direct negotiations with his/her spouse; to review agreements reached in mediation or; to work with the client, spouse and his/her lawyer to problem-solve issues without the threat of "going to court." In all cases Stu is prepared to draft the necessary documents to finalize the dissolution administratively. Stu is one of forty collaborative lawyers practicing in the Minneapolis-St.Paul metropolitan area. Stu is a member of the Bar of the United States Supreme Court, and state and local bar associations, the International Alliance of Holistic Lawyers and the Collaborative Law Institute. His interests include jazz, reading (almost anything) and backpacking. In August of 2002, Stu was a recipient of the first annual "Lawyer as Problem Solvers Award" by the Dispute Resolution Section of the American Bar Association.
