Susan’s practice focuses primarily on family law matters involving all aspects of divorce, property settlement, spousal support, custody, child support, parenting time and pre- and post-nuptial agreements. She received her Master of Arts degree in counseling which, in conjunction with her Juris Doctor degree, makes her particularly qualified to handle the difficult and often sensitive issues inherent in dealing with family law matters. Susan is a Fellow of the
American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, an organization of approximately
1,500 family law attorneys nationwide which recognizes excellence
in the practice of family law. She is also a Fellow of the Michigan
State Bar Foundation. Susan is a member of the American Bar Association;
the State Bar of Michigan, Family Law Section; is the past president
of the Oakland County Bar Association Family Law Committee; is
on the Board of the Michigan Interprofessional Association on Marriage,
Divorce and the Family, an organization comprised of family law
attorneys and mental health professionals; and was appointed to
the Governor’s Task Force on Children’s Justice. Susan presents
at seminars on family law issues and is involved in pro bono and
children’s charities. |
