Lois R. Finkelstein,
Lois R. Finkelstein, an experienced litigator, is a frequent lecturer
on family law and in particular on issues involving child custody
and child custody litigation. Ms. Finkelstein teaches Continuing Legal
Education courses for the Family Law Section of the District of Columbia
Bar. She has been selected as a voting delegate for the Annual Judicial
Conference of the District of Columbia. She teaches at the Pro
Se Plus Divorce Clinic sponsored by the District of Columbia Public
Services Activities Corporation, is frequently interviewed on radio,
was a guest lecturer at George Washington University School of Law,
and was quoted by Money Magazine as an expert in matrimonial
and family law issues. Formerly a principal in the law firm of Freer,
McGarry, Bodansky & Rubin, P.C., Ms. Finkelstein also served as the
law clerk to the Honorable Rhea Burrow at the Office of Administrative
Law Judges at the Department of Labor, and was an attorney with the
U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission where she litigated the Three Mile
Island Restart case. Ms. Finkelstein graduated cum laude from
the University of Connecticut in 1973 where she received a B.S. degree
in rehabilitation counseling. She earned her Masters in the same field
from George Washington University, and her Juris Doctor from Western
New England College School of Law, where she was an editor on the
law review. Ms. Finkelstein serves on the Board of Associates of the
National Rehabilitation Hospital, and the Benefit Committee for the
