Michael Leshin’s new book, the 1996 Family Law Sourcebook, is an excellent handbook containing information on where to get official copies of marriage and birth certificates, a section on Massachusetts laws on child support enforcement, divorce, and children born out of wedlock, select provisions from the Internal Revenue Code affecting families, and more.Attorney Leshin provides a wealth of information, including special procedures for presenting motions in the Probate and Family Court in Middlesex and Norfolk Counties, and a directory of telephone and fax numbers for all of the courts in Massachusetts.
We highly recommend the book for lawyers and nonlawyers alike, the only caveat being the $50 price tag which nonlawyers may find extravagant. On the other hand, there is no other single source containing all of the information on family law.
