LawTek Media Group, LLC is an organization dedicated to the electronic publication of consumer-friendly legal information. We have three objectives, and they have remained the same as when we founded the company to connect:

1. the general public with the legal community in a constructive, educational manner;
2. attorneys with each other to share legal expertise; and
3. parties and enable people to provide practical and emotional support for each other over the Internet.

LawTek’s first project was the Family Law Advisor, a newsletter that began as a hard-copy publication in 1993 and eventually grew into an e-zine for AOL’s Massachusetts Government section. In the interests of reaching a wider readership, we created the first pages of our own website DivorceNet.com in 1995, originally with the intent of simply showcasing our newsletter.

It soon became apparent that we could no longer afford to limit our scope. The public needed a national resource for divorce and family law on the Internet. They needed information on attorneys, important changes in state law and bulletin boards and chat to seek advice from other people involved in the divorce process. It didn’t take very long for this concept to take off, both in the legal industry and among the general public. In those initial months, we quickly began to build relationships with attorneys across the country, and DivorceNet has shown no signs of slowing down since then.

Today, DivorceNet has grown to include a database of over 300 participating lawyers, mediators and divorce professionals, and some of them have been with us since the beginning. We have also begun to develop other websites in the DivorceNet family: PaternityNet.com, in conjunction with Fairfax Identity Laboratories is set to become a prominent resource for paternity establishment and related DNA testing.

For over ten years, our hard work on this project has helped us attain #1 ranking in the major search engines for search terms “Divorce” and “Family Law” and create the web’s most comprehensive resource for Divorce. We look forward to another ten years working with you.
