Did you ever see the movie "Wrong Turn?" it is set in West Virginia, and has things about cannibalism and incest.. omg.. i have friends calling me from NY, because they know i live so close to see if its actually true lol

Of course I saw it! And I suggest it to anyone who wants to know what WV is like? LOLOL!!!! Actually, they were filming that in KY and the director must've taken a wrong turn and thought it was WV. There's not really any incest in WV. There are too many people packed into one trailer there, not enough room to turn around, much less have incest.

my "northern" friends seem to think the west va's are like the mountain men in "Deliverence" and those movies.. I swear these movies give the state a bad name LOL

LOL I don't know where they actually shot it. It's just that while the rest of the world thinks incest occurs in WV, West Virginians always blame it on KY.

They actually celebrate the "Mothman" anniversary there in Point Pleasant now, since the movie was released.. back in 2002. A bit of a party there on Main ST. lol

They now have a statues made of steel of the mothman, with big red eyes and all, and they had a book signing by the author of it, i was able to meet him and get my book signed, was pretty cool, they had the props, and outfits and alot of stuff that was used on the mothman set, with lots of mothman "fanatics" who I guess believe this is true.. I never even heard of this until I seen the movie, so when my friends come down now, its "I want to see the mothman statue" now, or "take me to the town where that movie was made" since i live only 20 miles from it.

We didn't have no Mothmen in our neck o' the woods. Just my brother, who was dubbed Aquaman after he rescued a boy who'd been swept into a culvert by the current. He had to finish up high school with that nickname. He was disappointed that no one ever did a movie about it. LOL

You hear about the Beverly Hillbillies show they wanted to shoot in West Va? and they are suing to stop it from happening because they don't want this kind of reputation? lol

I heard something about a Beverly Hillbillies show awhile back, but didn't know they wanted to do it in WV. Just got back from there Tuesday. Mom sent me home with the WV Visitor's Guide, the Charleston Visitor's Guide and the free Hillbilly Humor paper. LOL!
