Hello
After I caught him cheating on me (and confessing my sins too :))My husband and I decided to get a divorce. In spite of the 2 days we spent fighting, we are still good friends and we're hoping to finish this in the best possible note.
Ok, down to business :) We have no children, we own a house (well, we own 10% of it, the bank owns the rest) and a car together, I have a few small debts, he owes about 10k on his student loans. Other than that we really don't have much to fight over :). Actually we already agreed about who's keeping the house with the mortgage and the car (him).
Is it really difficult doing it without a lawyer (we agree on most things)?
How long does the whole process take? How much does it cost with or without a lawyer?
Where do we start?

Answers to any of these questions, as well as all tips and suggestions, will be appreciated.

Thank you

Wisconsin is a 50/50 state. A judge may not permit you to have such an unbalanced settlement.

Summing up the equity and debts, I doubt that either one of you could keep the house.
