We live in Georgia and share joint physical custody of son; Ex-husband moved about 4 months ago to another location somewhere in the same county, at a lakehouse I have deduced from what son has said. We dropoff and pickup at school/karate studio/church, etc., so that is no issue.

I really don't care where he lives, but I am uncomfortable with the fact that my son spends 50% of his life in an unknown location...but more upsetting is the fact that lately son gets extremely upset before going to dad's because his dad "makes" him ride in his truck or boat daily while dad drinks "a LOT" of beer. My ex is a recovering alcoholic - and I am frightened for my son's wellbeing and safety. So I guess I have two issues:

1) Does the law in GA require a parent to give their exact location/address? There is no mention of this in our Decree.
2) Can I, and Should I, do anything about ex drinking and boating with our chiild in boat? Ex denies that he does this.

I don't know about Georgia, so this may be of no help to you, but in Michigan each parent has to notify the court in writing within 21 days of a change of residence. I would assume other states have similar rules?
