If you have the Self Help coordinator's number you can ask them if it can be reset by with a phone call, but you'll most likely have to file a motion for continuance to get a new date. Just explain why. It may help if both of you sign it as a "joint motion."

If you don't have a Coordinator to call, you can call the judge's office and ask what the procedure is.

The bigger problem may be that the court usually has set days to hear pro se petitions, so you may not be able to get a Wednesday or Thursday hearing.
