What options do children have concerning inheritance...?
first let's hear the scenario.
POP shot himself the day before the divorce finalized...
MOM petitioned right away to have the divorce stopped...
MOM began the process of obtaining benefits, even though there was a legal separation for two years prior... bank accounts and CD's were withdrawn, life insurance etc...
KIDS: Petitioned/Motioned to continue with divorce and division of assets since MOM wanted nothing do do with POP's illness, and the divorce was almost finished on paper.
What options do the KIDS have to prevent MOM from taking everything and sharing it with her new husband?

I'm disgusted I even have to ask...

Nothing probably. It takes two live people to divorce. Pop should have waited until the day after.

Find his will and see who he left it to! Regardless of divorce, if he left a will it goes to whoever he left it. If he didn't -- well, she can be a sleaze and probably get away with it!
