We have been separated for 3.5 years during the 4 years of marriage. We have no kids, no property, no vehicles together. I would like to know, in the state of South Carolina, how much would it cost to file for a uncontested divorce? Please help me.

I would recommend that you talk to an attorney. The filing itself should just cost you the filing fee, which probably varies from county to county, and you should be able to manage that yourself. For the decree, however, you should have an attorney prepare the document. You and your stbx can agree on terms and have the lawyer write it up. It should run you a couple hundred dollars or so. You'll want to do this to make sure the right language is in there; if it's not, the judge won't accept it, and you'll have more delay and headache.

Beav it right. I'd talk to an attorney. It won't cost much to do. And, depending on where you are, I can recommend a few.
