Hi all,

I am getting married in Jan to the divorced father of two. Because of my moral/religious/cultural upbringing I believe community property is wrong so we will have an agreement to bypass wisconsin law.

My question is even with this in place how much havoc can BM make about adjusting child support, trying to attach my income etc...I make about 4 times my fiance salary

My brother (an attorney) says not to worry his firm will handle but I am not sure from experience how much time will we spend on defensive?

J

I'm in TX, not WI, but I have yet to hear of a state that allows a new spouse's income to be used in child support calculations. The court will ASK about it to determine household income (our courts like socialism, so they want to look at everyone's standard of living), but the court isn't going to base CS on your income.
