Does anyone know of the ruling that would happen if you found out your X had hidden some funds?
Mine bought stock right before I filed than cashed it in right after the divorce was final.
I need to see if it would be worth fighting for.
The total is in the thousands but with lawyer fees?
I also read that I could possibly get the whole amount, but can not find where I read that now.
Any ideas.

Whoa, concrete proof, isn't it? Are you getting child support for the teens? Maybe, filing for a change in circumstances will reveal from his taxes where he lied, court might increase the support.

I would still talk to an attorney and see if anything can be done or if it will be worth it. Explain why you feel it may not be if attorney fees are going to take substantial bite out of it. An attorney might agree to set one flat fee that may make it worth your while.

If you saw his tax return, then how do you not know what the amount was? I'm confused.

I know the amount, am just not writing it down here.
As for the lawyer, I have one but he says that something about me having to prove that he hid it.
How can I prove that when I did not even know it existed until the tax returns?
Does anyone know of any law or cases that the X spouse got full possession of hidden funds?

"I know the amount"
Then you have some idea about whether or not it's worth it. If it's a million dollars, it probably is worth it; if it's a dollar, it's not.

"he says that something about me having to prove that he hid it."
Not exactly. You have to be able to prove when he bought it and sold it, thereby proving that he had it at the time of the divorce, and if it's not on the inventory he submitted (or if the cash he bought it with isn't otherwise accounted for), then it was clearly hidden.

I am looking for cases or laws that state how these funds are divided.
I read somewhere that I could possibly get it all and lawyer fees.
I can not find that now.

"my stbx has been having a emotional affair with one of his co-workers, I have filed for divorce and am trying to move forward."

I pulled this from your first post here ever, from over 2 years ago. It's time to move forward....it's something you haven't really done. You want to jump right back in the courtroom...

Walk away, and live your life free of your ex.

Astro,
Where do you come up with these ideas?
I have moved forward, and am doing very well thank you.
The money in question is part mine and the kids and I could really use it.
Believe me, if I could just walk away from the jerk I would.
This post was a simple question as to whether there is case law or laws for hidden funds.

We are divorced but he is the one who fights every expense, (and I only give him half of what I could claim) and than degrades dd ambitions in life because he does not want to support her.

Maybe if the one who is committing the adultery did not lie and cheat and steal so much than the betrayed spouse could move on and live in peace.

Oh and by the way, I am only here when I need advice or help, what about you?
Living your life on these boards is not moving on.
