I filed last month. The court tried serving her twice through certified mail. Sheriff went to her house and was told by a neighbor that she has moved to TX. I haven't spoken to her in 9 months. I haven't spoken to my daughters in 2 months (refuses to let them call or answer when I call).

Still trying to figure out if she is in Ohio or not. My attorney is going to try to have her served through public notice in the paper.

Has anyone on here been through ANYTHING like this? Any idea what I should expect?

Try investing about $100 in a background search. These are available online. One might be able to give you a valid current address if she has moved.

I have already done that. Still don't know where she is.

I've been told that if she doesn't respond to the notice in the paper, that a court date will be made, then that has to be advertised as well. If she doesn't show up at that court date, will I get whatever I ask for?

More or less, yes. Try to keep your requests vaguely reasonable.
