I have filed for divorce in South Carolina and had the temporary custody hearing (my wife lives in Georgia). I have moved with my kids and my legal residence is now North Carolina. I did not have the final hearing yet, nor was a date set. Do I need to refile in N.C., or will S.C. courts have jurisdiction over the children who now live with me in N.C.?

until the children have lived in NC for more than 6 months I believe SC has current jurisdiction, esp since they just heard a temp custody hearing. However, I would check with an attorney as that is something you do not want to take a chance with.
