Hi, I have been married less than 4 years. I found out my wife had sex with another man a few months ago (among other cyber activity with a number of other men). I have been the only income for the last 3 years. What are the chance of having to pay alimony in CT under a cheating spouse situation?

Marital misconduct can affect spousal support in CT. You would need to see an attorney for a clearer picture of your own situation. She may not get any or she might get some for a short period of time. I would definitely seek the advice of a lawyer though, since she's the one who committed the adultery.

Yup,attorney says we shouldn't go for any alimony. Also, she should only be entitled to half the assets from when we entered the marriage. Which is good because I bought the house long before we were married and maybe now I can keep it. I'm probably the only single-home owner on the planet who is happy home values sank in the last year!

Nah my ex is probably right there with you :) Glad you got some good legal advice about the alimony. However, make sure all your bases are covered with regard to the house though with it being a short marriage you certainly have a better chance.

We have a pre-school age boy and I will most likely go for custody. I have a good argument however I am weighing what is best for him. This is the single most hardest thing I ever had to think about :(
