My wife is filling for divorce on line(?) I signed the papers and had it notorized in May was wondering if there is a time limit for my signing that would make her need me to sign it all over again or is it good toll whenever she decides to file?

What do you mean by "signed the papers?" What papers did you sign?

you need to contact your local courthouse and find out if you can do an online divorce. I live in TN and in my county that is not allowed. Nor can you represent yourself. There is only agreed upon divorce via mediation, a paralegal can do the paperwork; or the regular go to trial divorce with 2 attorneys. I hope you got a copy of what you signed! Along with divorce papers you have to file the Marital Dissolution Agreement (MDA) stating how the assets would be divided, and if you have kids a Parenting Plan is required. I'd be suspicious if she said she was doing an online divorce in TN.

It's easy enough to go to the local courthouse and see if it's been filed. You can get a copy for a small fee if its in the record. Or if the local paper prints divorce activity (filing, settlements, etc) then you can go to the library and look through back issues.

I don't think there is a time limit in TN other than the original 60 days without kids, 90 days with kids rule. Meaning you have to get through the waiting period before it can be finalized. Call the courthouse tomorrow and see if you can find out anything.
