O.K. I need to get this ball rolling. My wife looks like might be alittle difficult, so I'm wondering what is the fisrt step? Do I just leave? I mean I have a 3 year old and don't really wanna leave. But I can't be with her anymore. I have to file seperation papers first? Where do i get them? do they cost money? What do I do with them? Then what? I have looked but its hard to find all the info laid out nice for me.

Once you leave the home, the courts view it pretty much that you have abandoned your wife and child. You can throw out any ideas you had of custody out of the window. As you posted before, your ex agreed to sharing custody, but once you are out the door, she can change her mind, you won't be able to go back, and the status quo for custody will be set. You need an attorney, and get a set parenting plan in place before you leave.
