My husband's ex wife has custody of their 13 year old daughter. His ex wife worked throughout their marriage (14 years) and has not worked in the last 3 1/2 years. She is a drug user. They are being evicted from the place they've been "squatting" for the past year. His daughter is running wild and doesn't want to live with us because we have more structure and rules. We've recently learned from her school that his daughter has not even been staying with her mother for the past month, yet my husband has been paying her support. He has verified this to be true with the parent of the girl she's been staying with. His ex is not contributing a dime to that family. We also know that she has not paid a dime of rent for months. Does ee have to continue paying support? That's what she's using to pay for her drugs. Sorry for the lengthy post. Any advice?

You do have to continue the support until further ordered by the court, but I would file for a change of custody.
