We were married in 1992, divorced in 1993, back together 6 month's later (but not married) been together ever sence. when we first got together we had nothing, ogether we have encured some asset's, like a home, motorhome, several nice automobiles etc,... now he want's another lady to be with him, and want's me to just leave, say's I get nothing cause pretty much everything is in his name due to my lack of good credit.. anyway's just dont quite seem fair to me...im 49 years old, I dont work, he's allway's provided well for me. Now he want's to trade me in for a younger model...I still use his last name, it's on my S.S.card still just never changed it. he still claim's me on the taxes.. and as far as everyone in our little town know's were married. Common law: I read in Idaho only count's if the relationship started before 1996, well guess that would be me. So im just hoping someone know's a bit about my right's (if any) as a common law wife= any advice would be better than none thank you all for reading my post

Get a lawyer Girl! Him claiming you on his taxes will prove the common law marriage. Good luck.
