This is the first time I have gotten visitation with my children since the divorce back in 2002. I have been refuse for four years now. I have been to court trying to get her for contempt but with no success. My question is.....I get visitation for 2 weeks starting next Monday, I just found out that my kids are going to be driven for the exchange (is almost an 8 hour drive) by the ex's recent ex husband. I know this guy has been convicted of domestic abuse/assult with intent and displaying a weapon. This man does not even live in the home with them. Can I refuse that he bring the kids to the meeting place??? Thank You

My divorce papers are very specific about when and where we exchange. Do your legal papers state anything specific?

the only thing the decree states is that I have the kids for a minimum of six weeks during the summer and that the meeting place is to be in Danville, Illinois for all visitation exercised. There are no specific's as to times, dates or a specific place other than Danville, IL.
