Hello fellow members thank you all very much for letting me join your message board. I've located your message board because I'm seeking some insight on a divorce a very special person I know is going through. My name is Fred Boyd and the special person going through the divorce is a longtime Internet friend of mine. She has a big career opportunity in Houston and is hoping to take advantage of it. I'm a 30-year-old quadriplegic and for me this is a tremendous blessing because she has proven that she's willing to take care of me. This is a very good thing for two reasons 1) I struggle with earning income though I do good at times. 2) I'm losing the two people that have taken care of me for the past 10 years. With that said one of the two people shouldn't be gone for entirely too long and the other will always do what her body will allow her to.

Okay, down to the question I'm wanting to as you guys. Me and my great friend live in two difference States and her and her abusive husband have children. She already has a job offer in Houston and a very good one at that. We both believe her lawyer is doing next to nothing but he has told her that a career opportunity can sometimes justify a move. She has told her husband that she will consider joint custody and fair visitation in exchange for an agreement that would allow her to move. We'll the court in Nebraska stop her from moving the kids out of state even if she's awarded full custody? No charges of abuse were ever filed but she has told me witnesses have seen it.

If she and her STBX agree on her moving out of state, then the court will too. Has her husband said he would agree to that? If they cannot agree between themselves then a Judge will make the decision based on what would be in the best interest of the children.
