me and my boyfriend live in iowa his wife lives in missouri. He has 2 children with his wife, which live with me and him. She left him and went back to Mo. about 4 years ago, We've been together for about 3 years. We know have a 1 child together also. WE has custody of his 2 from the his marriage through the juvenile courts here in iowa. None of us have seen or heard from his wife in about 1year. We arent even sure where or how to find her in Mo. He would like to get started on a divorce but we are not sure how to do it without the expenses of lawyers. If anyone has any adise for us please let us know. Thank you.

It would be a divorce based on abandonement. Go to your local courthouse and ask what forms need to be filed, bring the custody papers with you, and the clerks can assist you in filling them out. You don't need a lawyer to do this. Should be easy enough to do since she has been missing for so long. Good Luck!
