General info: Married at 16 in Norfolk, Va to a sailor. He became more and more abusive until I told him I wanted a divorce, (18 then). He beat me up, the cops were called and they made him leave. The following morning I go to get a PO, and he's already there getting one on me for a small scratch where I defended myself. The courts said b/c they already granted him one, I couldn't get one. Upon returning to our apartment, I found the PO taped to the door. It stated that I was not allowed withing so many feet, I couldn't return to the apartment, and I was to make arrangements to give our daughter to him. So I did, not wanting to get arrested.

Well, he flew to Idaho and filed for divorce. By the time he got back I was such a mess, I had no home (he had the locks changed and notified the landlord of PO), no food, no money, etc... (I also only had a 9th grade education level.) I was basically living off a few friends he had not turned against me. So when he returned w/ papers, I just signed them. I felt lost and defeated. Shortly after he disapeared.

He filed CS once since then, but then disapeared again. I finally tracked him down in Arizona. I want to overturn the divorce and the CS. I feel that the court did not have jurisdiction over our child's custody.

Anyone have any opinions or advice? Is there a statute of limitation to have divorce overturned?

You really need the help and advice of an attorney. You first have to establish visitation with your child before you even attempt at getting her back.
